IYENGAR YOGA RETREAT IN RURAL MALAGA

I’m delighted to share this Autumnal Yoga Escape with you. This unique yoga centre has been lovingly created by the owners in the side of a hill in rural ‘Sierra de las Nieve’ within the Malaga province. The centre is full of character - natural caves form the backdrop, a spring stream flows directly through it and an abundance of tropical flowers frames every part.

It’s an ideal setting to take time out from your usual day to day. Take time to relax by the pool and caves, enjoy time in nature, or take a short walk to take in the beautiful view.

Your yoga practice will take place twice daily in the fully equipped, spacious and light yoga studio, with views out to the countryside. And there's a smaller outdoor yoga deck.

The accommodation offers individually styled rooms all within the main house at the centre. Each room is en suite and many with outstanding, far reaching views. You can opt for a single room, or share a twin room with another yogi.

Aside from this, the centre caters for all your needs with plenty of space to relax or you can find a more secluded hammock or seat in quiet nook. Whatever you choose, it is the perfect place to unwind and relax fully in nature!

Yoga

The fully equipped yoga studio has breathtaking, countryside views and embraces the rising sunlight each day to provide a light, spacious and welcoming space. It even has a wall feature with part of the natural cave integrated harmoniously.

During your stay you'll have 9 yoga classes. This includes daily asana practice in the mornings, restorative and pranayama practice in the late afternoon. And there are plenty of props such as bolsters, bricks, blocks, straps and chairs to support your practice.

If you want to bring your own yoga travel mat to place on top of the mats supplied you can, although not required. And if you have space, pack a long yoga belt which can be handy!

Accommodation

All rooms are ensuite and available on a single or shared occupancy basis for the 6 night stay, and this includes all meals and yoga classes. Room options are below and your place can be secured with a deposit:

Shared occupancy - 2 single beds in a twin room, ensuite bathroom, top floor with view - £895 per person (2 rooms available)

Single occupancy - 1 bed in a single room, ensuite bathroom, top floor with side view (1 available) - £1115 per person(1 room available)

Single occupancy - 1 bed in a twin room, ensuite bathroom, top floor with view - £1165 per person (2 rooms available)

Food

Two vegetarian buffet style meals are available each day using fresh ingredients. A brunch following your morning yoga class and dinner following your afternoon yoga class. There is plenty of variety and so you'll have lots of choice. There's also an honesty bar for you to add a glass of wine or soft drink if you wish.

Support for allergens and dietary requirements are limited at this venue. Please request at the time of booking and if requested, I will confirm the centre can accommodate you. If you have a severe allergy you will be advised to bring additional snacks to supplement meals as needed.

Please be aware that whilst the centre take care to minimise the risk, they cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.

To secure your place - deposit requirements

A non-refundable deposit of £275 is required on booking to secure your place. The remaining balance will then be due in full by 1 June 2026.

If you wish to pay in monthly instalments, please let me know and this will can be worked with the full balance deadline in mind.

Arrival at the yoga centre is from 3pm Sunday 11 October 2026 and departure by 10am Saturday 17 October 2026. If you need help to source flights, then please let me know.

Travel

I suggest you have a look at flights from your local or nearest London airport.

I'll stay over in Malaga town on Saturday 10 October and on Sunday, travel to the centre at around 1pm. If you would like to do the same, I will co-ordinate your travel arrangements with mine, or you can meet me on the Sunday to travel to the yoga centre together by minibus, or take a taxi with other attendees if your flight arrives later.

The 'Molino del Rey' centre is about 60 minutes inland from the airport/ Malaga town centre, and I can help to co-ordinate a taxi as needed. The cost is approx. 80 euros for a taxi, so if four people travel together this cost can be split between you.

Cancellation Policy

As a small business, my ethos is to keep the retreats I offer as reasonably priced as possible, so unfortunately, I need to be strict on this point. The deposit required on booking is non-refundable. The final balance is required by the date on your booking confirmation email and once paid is non-refundable.

Please also make sure you have travel insurance that covers both the cost of this trip and your travel arrangements if you cannot make it. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, for example injury/illness (including COVID or COVID isolation requirements), or personal emergencies.

I also cannot issue partial refunds if you decide to arrive late or leave early. Your travel insurance should also cover medical expenses in the event that you have an accident during your trip.
