IYENGAR YOGA RETREAT IN DEVON

Join me for a full weekend of yoga at this beautiful rustic farm estate. It's simply full of atmosphere and endless character with nature at every turn and I'm delighted to return for a third year.

Your accommodation will be in either the Grade 2, 16^th Century listed Farmhouse where each room brings its own charm and character, or the adjacent Allensdown Barn, which has been converted to offer traditional accommodation in keeping with the farmhouse.

Your yoga practice will be in the Cider Barn with underfloor heating (if needed). And whether it's your first retreat with me or your have been on one before, all levels of practice are welcome and supported.

The farm estate is recognised for its eco-tourism credentials and sustainable principles and has its own outdoor, solar heated swimming pool (around 16 degrees in Sept). Of course, there’s always the option to warm up in the hot tub.

There’s plenty more to enjoy and your senses will be awakened and connected through your surroundings at this Autumn Yoga Retreat.

Yoga

Your yoga will be held in the thatched Cider Barn and take you on a journey of yoga exploration using props and chairs to take your practice further. In the mornings there will be asana practice and in the late afternoon a restorative /pranayama practice.

Asana 9.15 - 11.45am
Restorative/ Pranayama 5.00 - 6.30pm
(provisional schedule - tbc nearer the time)

Typically around 11 hours of yoga and in between your practice you can simply relax, read, take a dip in the solar heated pool, soak in the hot tub, explore the woodlands or enjoy a well-deserved nap - it’s entirely your choice!

Accommodation

Arrival at the Farm is from 3pm Thursday 16 September 2027 and departure by 2pm Sunday 19 September 2027..

This a lovely extended weekend retreat, the rooms are traditional and you'll either be in the main Farmhouse or the Allensdown Barn. The room options are below and your place can be secured with a deposit:

MAIN FARMHOUSE
Room 1 - 'Brass' - queen bed, ensuite bathroom in the Farmhouse, First Floor - £585 per person, single occupancy

Room 2 - ‘Oak’ - king size bed, shared bathroom in Farmhouse, First Floor - £565 per person, single occupancy

Room 5 - ‘Master' one double and one single, shared bathroom in Farmhouse - £455 per person, double occupancy (single occ rate - contact me)

Room 6 - ‘Gentleman’s’ - twin beds en-suite in Farmhouse, First Floor - £495 per person, double occupancy

The Master room is a linked room with the Gentleman’s room and you can walk between them. Have a look at the room layout video (at the end of this page) to see how these two rooms work together. These rooms are ideal for friends who are happy sharing, or the rooms can be booked separately.

ALLENSDOWN BARN
Room 7 - 'Gardener's' small double bed, en suite in the Allensdown Barn, Ground Floor - £575 per person, single occupancy

Room 8 - ‘Indian Bean’ double bed and single bed - £525 per person, double occupancy

Room 9 - ‘Rafter’s’ double bed and single bed - £525 per person, double occupancy

The two rooms (8 & 9) share a bathroom/shower/ toilet

If you have a room preference or someone you wish to share with, please state this clearly in your booking. I will confirm your room upon receipt of your deposit.

Food

All meals are prepared by our private chef for the weekend who will provide a hearty two course vegetarian lunch and dinner each day. A self serve breakfast is available in the mornings and if you need a top up mid-afternoon, then tea/ coffee stations are always available and homemade cake too!

Support for allergens and dietary requirements are available. Please request these at the time of booking and I will check and confirm your request can be accommodated. If you have a severe allergy you will be advised to bring additional snacks to supplement meals as needed.

Please be aware that during your stay whilst care is taken to minimise the risk, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.

To secure your place - deposit requirements

A non-refundable deposit of £175 is required on booking to secure your place. The remaining and final balance will then be due in full by 1 June 2027.

If you wish to pay in monthly instalments, please let me know and this will can be worked with the full balance deadline in mind.

How to get there...

Middle Coombe Farm, Uplowman, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 7QQ

Tiverton train station (on the mainline to Exeter, Bristol and London) is the closest and you can take a taxi 4.5 miles to the farm (10 mins), as well as junction 27 of the M5 motorway.

Tucked into the countryside, the last quarter mile drive to the farm is along a single-track road for with one layby halfway up the hill. The entrance is on the left hand side on a bend as you go up a hill and has a wooden hut and sign which reads ‘Middle Coombe Farm’ – that’s us and parking on site is available.

Enjoy the views as you arrive and the peaceful, secluded surroundings, set in acres of woodland.

Cancellation Policy

As a small business, my ethos is to keep the retreats I offer as reasonably priced as possible, so I do need to be strict on this point. The deposit required on booking is non-refundable.

The final balance is required by the date on your booking confirmation email and once paid is non-refundable. You should make sure you have travel insurance that covers both the cost of this trip and your travel arrangements if you cannot make it. Exceptions cannot be made for any reason, for example injury/illness or personal emergencies.

I also cannot issue partial refunds if you decide to arrive late or leave early. Your travel insurance should also cover medical expenses in the event that you have an accident during your trip.
